Simplifying Bible Education for Kids

We’re a family business, founded by my mom, Le Ann Trees, and me. We share a deep passion for helping parents teach their kids about God, the Bible, and his redemptive plan in Christ Jesus.

As my kids got older and started asking big questions like, “Who is God?” or “Why do we go to church?” I often found myself calling my mom since she went back to school and earned a seminary degree after her children were grown. I’d say, “Mom, how do I explain this in a way a 4-year-old can actually understand, without watering down the truth?” Those conversations were the foundation of Hope & Hues.

I realized not every parent has someone close by to guide them through the most important (and sometimes difficult) topics in the Bible. That’s where we come in.

At Hope & Hues our mission is simple: to make Christian education for kids clear, engaging, and time-efficient. We create resources that help to provide your children with a strong foundation in their faith—using flashcards that deliver depth without overwhelming busy work or watered-down lessons.

Teaching our kids about God is crucial, but it’s so easy to lean on popular Bible stories and miss out on the core truths that form the big picture of who God is and what he has done, continues to do, and will do to bring about the consummation of Christ's kingdom. At Hope & Hues we focus on simplifying those foundational truths into kid-friendly language—no fluff, just solid, meaningful teaching.

We are rooted in the core teachings of the Protestant Reformation: Scripture alone, Christ alone, faith alone, grace alone, and glory to God alone.

Le Ann has over a decade of experience writing and editing Christian content and holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Westminster Seminary California (2014). She works diligently to ensure that every resource we create is theologically sound, engaging, and age-appropriate.
